Day 1Hanoi Arrival
You will be warmly welcomed upon arrival at airport in Hanoi and transferred to your hotel. You will have free time. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2Hanoi City Tour – Lao Cai (B/L)
In the morning, you will visit Ho chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, President Palace. Continue your day at Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam. Then visiting the Tran Quoc pagoda dated back to early 10th century and is considered as the most ancient pagodas in Hanoi. After lunch at a local or Indian restaurant we keep driving to Hoa Lo prison museum – also known as the “the Hanoi Hilton”. Finish your day with a water puppet show - an unique Vietnam traditional art. Transfer back to your hotel for relaxation. Your adventure trip to Sapa will then begin with an overnight train from Vietnam’s capital city to the border town of Lao Cai.
Day 3Lao Cai – Sapa (B/L)
5.00: Arrive at Lao Cai Train station in the early morning. Be picked up by our tour guide and taken an 01hr drive to Sapa.
6.00: Early check at hotel and have breakfast at your hotel.
9.30: Start trekking to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages down in Muong Hoa valley.
Trek through the villages of Black H’mong ethnic minority to learn the way people weaving and embroidering their clothes. Have a break in a local restaurant for lunch then keep going down to enjoy colourful rice paddy fields and reach Ta Van village where the Dzay ethnic people inhabited.
15.30: Be picked up by private car to get back to Sapa for checking-in. The rest of the day will be at your leisure to discover the town (Dragon Mount, Orchid garden, the market…). Overnight in hotel.
Day 4Sapa – Lao Cai – Bus back to Hanoi (B/L)
9.30: After breakfast in the hotel, start visiting Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages. Trek through lush rice terraces towards villages, experience Black H’mong people’s daily life and traditional culture. Then back to Hotel.
14.00: Take a drive to Ta Phin village (12km from Sapa) where the Red Dzao people live to learn more about the culture, custom and their daily life. Have a good choice of buying woven and textile brocades which are locally hand-made. Pay a visit to one of the local family to experience the true life of the Red Dzao.
16.00: Back to sapa then you will take a bus back to Hanoi. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
Day 5Hanoi – Halong (B/L/D)
Arriving in Hanoi around 5 a.m., you will be picked up and go to a local restaurant for breakfast and morning coffee. In the morning leave Hanoi for Halong Bay, arriving around noon. Board a traditional wooden junk and begin your exploration of magical Halong Bay, one of Southeast Asia’s premier tourist destinations. An excellent, fresh seafood lunch and dinner will be served on the boat. Overnight onboard the comfortable and charming junk.
Junks in Halong: They are large wooden boats of 25 meters. All are well-equipped: air-conditioned cabins with two beds, private bathroom and toilet. It is an ideal place to make full use of the bay: observe fishing villages, bathe in the sea, watch the sunset and sunrise or simply indulge yourself, etc… The food is excellent: the fish and seafood are captured from the early haul of the morning.
Day 6Halong – Hanoi – Hue (Brunch)
You'll wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves and birds welcoming the new day. You will have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay and after breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto. You will have a walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Then you will drive directly to airport for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival Hue, our guide will welcome you at airport and transfer back to hotel for check in. Overnight in Hue.
Day 7Hue City Tour (B/L)
Rising up in the ancient land, you will enjoy your breakfast in the hotel and then board a private boat for a cruise on the romantic Perfume River. You will visit the Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda), and then take a drive to visit King Minh Mang's tomb and King Tu Duc's tomb before lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will embark on a tour of the city, including the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City, the Imperial Museum and Dong Ba market. You will stay overnight in Hue.
Day 8Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (B)
You will today head to Hoi An Ancient town over the Hai Van pass. You will stop in Danang for a visit to the Cham Museum and handicraft villages at the foot of Marble Mountains before arriving in Hoi An. Once in Hoi An, you will check into the hotel and have some free time to explore the town. You will stay overnight in Hoi An.
Day 9A Day of Being A Local (B/L)
Would you like to go fishing with the local fisherman? Why don't you have a fun experience with the funny basket boat. You shouldn't have any hesitance because the day will put a broaden smile in your face. It is very interesting to fish here on the river with the local fisherman as you catch your fish and we cook for you.
On the Fishermen & the Waterways of a Past War Tour you will enjoy a wide range of experiences - from learning traditional fishing techniques to paddling the strange and unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats while exploring the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war. On this tour we provide an authentic social and cultural insight into the local Vietnamese way of life. As well you will take part in some hands-on activities that are fun, safe and interesting to people all of ages. Start of the tour at 8:00 am, pick up from your hotel lobby. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)
Day 10Hoi An – Red bridge Deluxe Cooking Tour (B/L)
We start the day (8am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café (98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Ancient Town, Tel: 3863210) – our meeting point. Travel by minivan (10 minutes) to Tra Que Organic Village, and walk through the market gardens where local farmers work their fields using the traditional methods of hundreds of years ago - no electrical machinery here. We pick fresh saw-tooth coriander and Vietnamese mint for our cooking lesson later, before trying a special herbal drink at a local home. To the local village market and with shopping list in hand we purchase a range of local ingredients, including star anise, cardamom, sesame rice paper, water spinach and banana flower. Arriving at Red Bridge Cooking School we have a chance to freshen up before beginning our class.
Working together with our Red Bridge Chef we learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food from scratch. Using the freshest ingredients and traditional Vietnamese utensils (still in use today) we cook 4 famous dishes, including the national dish ‘Pho’. After the class we sit down and a chance to savour the dishes we have prepared. Leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River back to central Hoi An. Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our 20 metre swimming pool. Dinner by own account
Day 11Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh (B)
Transfer from Hoi An to the airport in Danang for the flight to Ho Chi Minh. Pick up and transfer to the hotel for check in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 12Exploring Cu Chi Tunnels (B)
Pick up at your hotel and depart to Cu Chi will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served. Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. Return to Saigon.
Day 13Mekong Delta Excursion (B/L)
Departure for My Tho for a visit to the Mekong Delta. Take a boat cruise on the fabled Mekong River (Ben Tre). Enjoy the quiet byways, then stop for a visit at a local orchard to taste exotic seasonal fruit and view a coconut candy workshop. Continue with a riding on a horse-cart and continue with a sampan cruise along My Tho canals to a stilt restaurant on Turtle Island. Enjoy lunch and back to Saigon late in the afternoon. Free time. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14Ho Chi Minh – Flight to Siem Riep (B)
Today you will drive to airport for your flight to Siem Riep. Upon arrival Siem Riep, our guide welcomes you and escorts you to hotel for check in. Overnight in Siem Riep.
Day 15Full Day Angkor Wat Tour (B)
Breakfast at hotel: Start your sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. Tonight you will have dinner at local restaurant with Apsara Dance Show. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 16Departure
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Chong Kneas to visit the fishing village by a private boat. Cruise through the fishing villages of the Tonle Sap Lake to discover the natural splendor and old lifestyle of the country. If time permits, we will also visit the local market and artisan dangkor workshop. Free at leisure till transfer to Siem Reap International airport for flight. Tour ends!
