Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel (approx 45 minutes). Hanoi – the Capital City is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam. Located on the bank of the Red River, Hanoi has seen as a pearl of Southeast Asia. With well-preserved colonial structures and exquisite cuisine, historic temples, and pagodas, Hanoi becomes the epitome of Vietnamese culture.
This morning depart for the mausoleum of the historic figure and father of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh then it’s on to a wooden ethnic minority style house which was his temporary residence from 1954 to 1969 when he passed away. In the same complex, you will see One Pillar Pagoda, founded by the Ly King in 1049. This structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi.
Your next stop will be the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070, the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Continue to West Lake and one of the oldest pagodas in Hanoi, Tran Quoc and the nearby Taoist Temple of Quan Thanh which dates back the 11th century with Ly Dynasty.
In the afternoon visit one of the Ethnology, History, Army or National Fine Art Museums. Time only allows for one to be visited so please decide which one you would like most to see. At the end of the day take a walking tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, also known as the “36 streets”. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses. 3PM -30 Enjoy Water Puppet Show before returning hotel
The Northwest of Vietnam is still relatively untouched part of the country. Beautiful scenery and idyllic villages make this area well worth a visit. Travel through fertile valleys and along roads snaking through mountain passes, as well as doing some.
In the morning depart from Hanoi to Mai Chau which is located 150kms Northwest of Hanoi. The drive takes about 3.5 hours, just an hour out of Hanoi after Hoa Binh town, the road will slowly weave itself through mountains, fertile valleys, and traditional villages.
Arrive in the picturesque Mai Chau Valley which is surrounded by spectacular karst rock formations and rice paddies. After lunch spend the afternoon exploring the idyllic natural surroundings as well as visiting the extraordinary Mo Luong Cave (soldier cave).
This evening enjoys a traditional Thai performance of music and dance. The Thai ethnic group has inhabited this area for centuries and much of their lifestyle and traditions have remained unchanged over the years.
Two-hour walk to various White Thai villages is very flexible to your energy and preference. The most relaxing way to experience the life of the ethnic tribes, interact with them in the warm and authentic setting of their traditional house or just simply engage in a social chat on the rice fields.
Start this morning with a light trek through Mai Chau Valley with visiting local families and having chat with them while enjoying beautiful rice fields. The afternoon is at leisure time to enjoy the stunning surroundings.
After breakfast depart for the 4 hours drive to Ninh Binh, along with the way please be sure you have your camera ready for when you reach the top of the Mai Chau Valley itself, the views are super.
Ninh Binh region is one of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam with its dramatic scenery and historical temples. The rice fields here become other – worldly and the mountains have earned the area the nickname “Dry Ha Long Bay or Ha Long Bay On Land”, a moniker borne out by the limestone karsts which dominate the landscape.
After arriving in Tam Coc Town close to Ninh Binh City and have lunch. After lunch board your private sampan for a boat trip through the Thung Lang Valley which is off the tourist trail. Pass through cave formations and lotus fields (in the summer) and reach a quaint pagoda before returning on the same route.
After breakfast depart for the 4 hours drive along the Red River Delta to Ha Long City for your overnight Cruise trip on Ha Long Bay. Lunch is served on board as you cruise into Ha Long Bay. Cruise by rock formations with such names as Sail, Dog and Incense burner islet. Towards the end of the day set anchor for the night as the sun sets followed by dinner.
If you want to taste local products of cakes and sweets, please ask your guide to make a stop in Thai Binh province. Thai Binh province known as rice supply area for fronts in Vietnam war. the Red river makes this area a huge and fertile land for rice cultivation.
Early sunlight will enrich the beautiful landscape of the Bay, if you can wake up early enough you can attend a Tai Chi exercise. Having breakfast while you are cruising on the bay is really a great experience.
Sitting on the upper deck we can enjoy the breath – taking the beauty of the rocky islands rising from the crystal-clear water of the Bay. We can hear the voice of the birds, of the wind and of the water is lapping on our boat.
On your return towards Ha Long city enjoy a wholesome breakfast (brunch on some boats) as your boat cruises through the magnificent rocky mountain. 1PM at Halong Habour, disembark and return Hanoi.
