Mingalaba! Welcome to Yangon, Myanmar. You are greeted by your guide at Yangon International Airport for your transfer to the hotel. Then transfer hotel for check in.
Today we explore the fascinating city of Yangon and its famous religious monuments. We begin at the waterfront, the heart of the city and home to many impressive traditional and colonial buildings including the Sule Pagoda, MahaBandoola Park with Independence Monument, the City Hall and the High Court.
We also visit the gold, hollow Botahtaung Pagoda, originally built over 2500 years ago, and the giant 70 metre-long reclining Buddha of ChaukhtagyiPaya whose serene features are topped by a crown encrusted in diamonds and other precious stones.
Later this evening we visit the most revered Buddhist temple in Burma, the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, where locals gather to make offerings and prayers. Standing at 90 metres tall, the gold leaf central stupa dominates the city’s skyline and turns vivid hues of yellow, orange and red when the sun begins to set.

After breakfast, we transfer to Yangon airport for a flight to Bagan where we begin our journey into the Ancient Kingdoms of Bagan, with a visit to the majestic and magnificent SHWEZINGON STUPA, one of the King Anawrahta’s first pagodas built in Bagan as he ushered in a golden era to his prosperous and thriving kingdom. Next, after a short ride, we will get to admire some of the best preserved mural paintings in Bagan at MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI TEMPLE each depicting Buddha’s earlier lives known collectively as Jataka Stories. After that we will proceed by car again just to be stunned by another glorious temple by the name of HTILOMINLO where you will be able to see for yourself beautiful stucco works on the exteriors. We will finish up our morning tour with ANANDA
TEMPLE, which locals endearingly claim to be the most beautiful of all temples in Bagan boasting four gigantic wooden Buddhas. Afterwards, we will drive to the hotel for check-in at the hotel
In the afternoon we will continue our explorations of this mesmerizing ancient city where the arts and crafts flourished and reached a high level of accomplishments. So we will pay an educational visit to one of many lacquer wares workshops at MYINKABA VILLAGE and learn about this ancient craft. Then we will head for the imposing ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM which boasts the best collection of ancient Buddha images in Myanmar where we will learn more about Buddha images and their mudras. (Opening hour on Sunday, 17th Apr is 09:00 - 16:00)- its Monday today and as per our knowledge the museum remains closed pls clarify.we need to see it..We can change to see it on 06April (Day 4) before going to Popa and they will arrive Mandalay late evening.
Afterwards, our further exploration of “the plain of merit” will now be done in an ancient style by HORSE-DRAWN CARTS, which will provide us with unparalleled opportunity for photos, heading slowly for one of the most popular pagodas for sunset viewing (or enjoy a sunset in the sunset from the second highest temple the Shwenandaw).- clients will decide what they want to choose on that day.. Weather permitting you will rewarded with unforgettable views as the sun dips casting fantastic colors on the ruins.

We continue the exploration of Bagan with visits to the MANUHA TEMPLE, built by the Mon king in the 1300s to represent his time in captivity under the Bagan king. Continuing to the THANAKA MUSEUM and a CIGAR WORK SHOP( not necessary), we learn respectively about the traditional uses of the fragrant thanaka paste and how Burmese make the local cheroot cigars. A visit to the NYAUNG U MARKET, the largest market in the Bagan region, gives us a glimpse into local life.
We also see how cottage industries like brick making( not important) and are carried out with traditional methods. During a visit to a MONASTIC SCHOOL that provides disadvantaged children with free primary level education, we have the opportunity to interact with the school children. In the late afternoon, we transfer to the Ayeryarwaddy River for a PRIVATE SUNSET CRUISE (jetty is near the city centre) where views of the temple silhouettes and bustling shore can be accompanied by cocktails on board(cocktails are not included in itinerary, it will cost US$7/person). – have confirmed to our client so no extra payment will be made towards the same..All touring schedules and activities can be adjusted according to guests’ wishes.

Morning pick up from your hotel at 7.00 and 1,5 hrs drive to Mount Popa, the Burmese spiritual epicentre for those who worship the pantheon of Nat spirits and martyrs. On the way back to Popa, we stop at family run toddy shop. Here you can see how palm sugar juice toddy(if clients feels like doing) is harvested and made to rich and caramel-like toddy candies. After paying respects to the Nat spirits shrine at the foot of Mount Popa, We climb nearly 800 steps to the pagoda perched at the top of the mountain to admire the beautiful views of the surrounding plains and farm lands. Then drive to Mandalay for 5 hours through Myin Chan. The highlight of this day is the panoramic sunset from the peak of Mandalay Hill(a must).Dinner at outside local restaurant Stay overnight in Yadanarpon Dynasty Hotel in Mandalay or similar.
In early morning, we drive to a former colonial hill station, PYIN OO LWIN (MAY MYO) approximately 65km/1,5hrs away from Mandalay. The tranquil beauty of the town captured the minds of the British Administration, who developed it after defeating the last king of Myanmar. Burmese know the town for the flowers, fruits and vegetables that grow so well in its cooler climes. We first visit the lively PYIN OO LWIN MORNING MARKET where local farmers come to trade their produce and continue to PEIK CHIN MYAING CAVE and PWE KAUK WATERFALL located near the town. Then, at the BOTANICAL GARDENS, we feast our eyes on the variety of flora available in the region. Then drive to Mandalay. Dinner at outside local restaurant. Stay overnight in Yadanarpon Dynasty Hotel in Mandalay or similar.
After breakfast, we will visit KuthodawPagoda(a must) also known as the world biggest book at first.
Transfer to jetty to take a boat trip on the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun, 11 km upriver from Mandalay. View the Mingun Bell, which weighs 90 tons and is one of the world's largest bells. The beautiful HsinbyumePaya (also known as Myatheintan Pagoda) was modeled after the mythical Mount Meru. The MingunPaya, intended to be the world's biggest pagoda, is an overwhelmingly massive structure even though it remains unfinished. In the afternoon, we will visit famous Mahamuni Pagoda, one of
the most sacred Buddha Image in Mandalay at first. Continue to Ava Bridge, built by British engineers to discover the MahaAungmyeBonzan, Gabaya Monastery, Leaning Nam Myint Tower and the nearby attractions. Tower and the nearby attractions. Enjoy a walk over U BeinBridge(a must sunset),the longest teak wood bridge in Myanmar. In the afternoon, Dinner at outside local restaurant. After breakfast, transfer airport for flight to Heho. Upon arrival, drive to Pindaya through Main Ma Ye Taung.
After visiting Main Ma Ye Taung, continue to the small quiet town Pindaya, 48 km north of Kalaw, to visit Pindaya Lake and PindayaShwe U Min cave, well-known for its countless Buddha images. Then drive to Taunggyi and check in at hotel. Dinner at hotel. Overnight at Ayetharyar Golf Resort in Taunggyi.
After breakfast, visit the colorful local market where minority people gather to sell their produce. Driving further to Kakku, you can lose yourself among thousands of ancient stupas and admire the intricately detailed carvings on the structures. You'll visit a Pa Oh village and be introduced to the tribe’s customs and lifestyle. In late afternoon you'll be driven to Inle Lake. Dinner at hotel. After breakfast, excursion in Inle Lake ( by boat ) visiting to the following places like unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty, fishing canoes using special methods for fishing and collecting seaweed, lakebed mud etc to make floating gardens. Visit floating garden and well known NgaPeChaung monastery and Silver smith factory. After lunch visit to Cheroot making factory, Boat making carpentry workshop, Silk weaving factory(according to clients wish). In the late afternoon, visit the most famous PaungdawOo Pagoda. On the way back to Nresort you will pass through some villages to enjoy life on the lake. Dinner at hotel. Overnight at Paramount Inle Resort in Inle or similar.
After breakfast, visit Indein village, located at the western side of the lake. Passing NyaungOhak Monastery and follow a stair path lined up with many hundreds of wooden columns, you finally will reach the impressive ShweIndein Pa-O complex. From the hillside you have great view over the lake
area. On the way back to the boat, walk through a romantic bamboo forest at the riverside, where you may observe local people having a bath. On the way you can visit Myaynigone village and Lotus fiber weaving factory (Ann's). Boat back to resort for dinner and overnight staying. After breakfast, transfer airport for flight to Yangon. Arrive at Yangon airport and transfer to Yangon International Airport for your departure flight.
