Warmly welcome on arrival in Phnom Penh. The capital city of Phnom Penh was once considered the loveliest city in the Indochina Area. Despite its recent turbulent history, it still maintains considerable charm. A city tour acquaints us with some major sights of Phnom Penh. The private quarters of the Royal Palace are now home to the royal family and are therefore very close to the public. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred shrine in the country.
For today you visit both structures as well as the legendary temple of Wat Phnom, which provides an interesting view over the environs. The next stop is the National Museum , exclusively dedicated to Khmer art and sculpture. Today you drive straight down to Sihanouk Ville. Check in and time for relax. The lovely beaches of Sihanouk Ville are some of the most unspoiled in all of South East Asia although the fast growing of tourism. There are some 10 km of beach stretching the whole length of the town and dozens of small islands just a short boat ride away, which make for a perfect tropical getaway, with facilities for swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving, This free day will provide you some great opportunities to soak up the sun and sea as much as you want by spending your time swimming or lazing on a beach. Today you leave Phnom Penh for Siem Reap by flight. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom( 12th century), the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon you visit to the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares, which is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Enjoy a wonderful sunset from Phnom Bakheng Hills. Today you visit to Banteay Srei temple (10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of classical Khmer Art. Then continue your visit to Banteay Samre, build in the third quarter of the 12th century. It consists of a central temple with four wings. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon visit the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang ("The Royal Baths" was once used for ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls), Ta Keo, constructed in late 10th early 11th century C.E and Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temple Overnight in Seam Reap.
